Study of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine, TiHo Hannover, Germany. Studies for the Doctor in Veterinary Medicine at the Division of Neurology, followed by a combined PhD in Neurosciences and residency of the ECVN at the Division of Neurology, Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery of the TiHo in Hannover. 2004 award of PhD degree, 2007 Diplomate ECVN. 2008-2009 Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Philaldephia, USA. 2010 Return to the TiHo and 2011 Habilitation. Since 2016 Prof. in Neurology and Head of Division of Neurology, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern, Switzerland
