Description

Ingrid D Pardo obtained her DVM from the National University in Bogota, Colombia, a M.S. from Missouri State University in Columbia, MO (MU), and anatomic pathology training at MU and Purdue University.  She became board certified in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) in 2006. In 2023, Ingrid became Fellow of the International Academy of Toxicologic Pathology.  She started her career in toxicologic pathology in Schering Plough (Now Merck) in Summit, NJ in 2006 and then moved to Pfizer in Groton CT in 2008-2021. In 2021 she made a career change to work for Biogen in Cambridge, MA. Ingrid is a neuropathology expert providing pathology advise in preclinical studies. Ingrid was involved developing of fluid-based biomarkers for neural indications in preclinical species (external, HESI initiative, IMI-2 TransBioLine initiative and internal, Pfizer). Ingrid Pardo has published as author or co-author manuscripts on sampling and processing of the nervous system in preclinical species, nervous system spontaneous findings, fluid-based neurobiomarkers, and gene therapy. Three of those papers received the best paper award by the STP and ACT.  Ingrid is an active member in the Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP), she is one of the co-chairs for the 2025 STP symposium in neuropathology and incoming chair of the education committee of the STP. Ingrid has been involved organizing continuing education courses in the STP, ACVP, Biosafe, and LCPG. Ingrid has served in several international initiatives; she was one of the founders and first president of the Latin Comparative Pathology group (2005-2010), chair of the international subcommittee of the STP (2011-2013), chair of women in Tox Path (2022-2024) and chair of the education focus group in the ACVP (2020-2021).
