Frédéric SCHORSCH is acting as the Mechanistic Toxicology & Pathology Group Leader at Bayer Crop Science located in the Sophia Antipolis research park in South of France (close to Nice and Cannes).
He is a Veterinary and Toxicologic Pathologist with 30 years in the field, certified by the ECVP (European College of Veterinary Pathologists) since 2005 and a European Registered Toxicologist. He served as President the ESTP (European Society of Toxicologic Pathology) from 2012 to 2014
And did the same for the SFPT (French Society of Toxicologic Pathology) from 2007 to 2012.
He had also previous leading positions outside Bayer either at the Veterinary School in Paris or at the French Institute for Environment and Industrial Risks INERIS.
He has developed experience on animal models (short term to long term carcinogenicity toxicity studies) as designated veterinarian and pathologists in different laboratories and worked on the links between in vitro and in vivo correlation for safety evaluation of chemicals. Nowadays aside toxicologic pathology he is working with data scientists, systems biologists, pharmacometricians to develop new approaches for human safety.
He has a solid track record of around 30 publications in the field of toxicology and pathology. He was appointed in the group of Distinguished Bayer Science Fellows in 2020.
