Angele is a National and EBVS®European Specialist in Veterinary Pathology and since 2015 Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists. She is member of the ECVP and ESTP and currently heads the pathology service unit of the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute (FLI), which is the Federal Research Institute for Animal Health in Germany.
At the FLI, her research focuses on the pathomorphological characterization of infectious diseases. The spotlight is on virus-related, notifiable animal diseases as well as newly discovered viral diseases and those with zoonotic potential.
